Most folks want to know - where did the cakes come from? The fact is, Cecil is in love with pound cake! The addiction was so heavy, Cecil learned how to bake them back in the early 2010s. When he moved to Washington, D.C. “Cecil’s Pound Cake” became a staple at all the University of Florida Black Alumni gatherings. A good friend of Cecil’s, Andrew Bucknor, gave the pound cake a tag-line “Made with the love of the Lord.” (Thanks Drew!) Thus, Cecil’s Pound Cake was born.
